Palm Beach Gardens (Fla.) Medical Center, part of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare's Florida region, has named Teresa C. Urquhart COO.
Here are five things to know about Ms. Urquhart.
1. In her role, she will manage daily operations and oversee the development and implementation of long-range plans, goals and objectives for the hospital.
2. Prior to her current role, Ms. Urquhart was COO of Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center's sister hospital, North Fulton Hospital in Roswell, Ga.
3. During her tenure at North Fulton, she led the planning, design and construction of an outpatient pain and spine center, wound care and hyperbaric center, and also assisted with the expansion of the hospital's cardiac catheterization lab.
4. Before moving to Georgia, she was CEO at another Tenet Healthcare hospital, Coastal Carolina Hospital in Hardeeville, S.C.
5. Ms. Urquhart received her Bachelor of Science in medical records administration at Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, N.C. She later completed a 120-hour health risk management course at Pepperdine University in Culver City, Calif. She continued her education and earned a master's degree in health services administration from Webster University in El Paso, Texas.
