San Antonio-based Nix Health has named Terry J. Fontenot CEO, according to a My San Antonio report.
Mr. Fontenot has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare management and consulting. He replaces former CEO John F. Strieby, who has been appointed president of Prospect Southwest, part of Los Angeles-based Prospect Medical Holdings, Nix Health's parent company.
Mr. Strieby served as Nix Health's CEO for 30 years. Under his leadership, the system expanded its healthcare system to include surgical, behavioral health, rehabilitation, home healthcare and rural health services, according to the report. As president and Prospect Southwest, Mr. Strieby's main responsibilities will include finding new acquisitions and partnering opportunities for Prospect Medical Holdings in the Southwest region.
