Michael Slubowski has started his tenure as president and CEO of Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, effective July 1.
Mr. Slubowski was president and COO of the 92-hospital system. He succeeds Richard Gilfillan, MD, who said he stepped down to spend more time with his family.
Mr. Slubowski was president and CEO of Broomfield, Colo.-based SCL Health. He has also served as president of hospital and health networks for Trinity Health and has held leadership positions at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit.
Mr. Slubowski is the immediate past chair of the Catholic Health Association and a fellow of both the American College of Healthcare Executives and the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He holds an MBA from Wayne State University in Detroit.
