MetroHealth System in Cleveland has named John Brennan, MD, as president and CEO of the system, effective Jan. 1, 2013.
Previously, Dr. Brennan served as the president and CEO of Newark (N.J.) Beth Israel Medical Center and the Children's Hospital of New Jersey in Newark. Both of those organizations are part of Livingston, N.J.-based Barnabas Health.
Dr. Brennan is board certified in emergency medicine and earned his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C.
