West Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy Health Network named Bob Ritz CEO, effective July 1.
Here are four notes:
1. Mr. Ritz currently serves as president of Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines, a role he has held since 2013.
2. He succeeds David H. Vellinga, who plans to retire this year.
3. Mercy Health Network, a joint operating venture between Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health, includes 27 affiliated organizations.
4. MHN facilities include more than 2,000 physicians and advanced practice clinicians.
