Memorial Healthcare System names Maggie Hansen 1st system chief nursing executive; announces 5 other leadership appointments

Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System announced a number of leadership changes, including the appointment of Maggie Hansen, RN, as the first system-wide chief nursing executive.

Ms. Hansen most recently served as CNO of Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood. She has been with Memorial Healthcare System since 1996, with the system promoting her to senior vice president.

The other leadership changes include:

•    Nina Beauchesne was named executive vice president of east operations. She was formerly senior vice president of the health system.
•    C. Kennon Hetlage was named executive vice president of west operations. He was previously administrator and CEO of Memorial Hospital West in Pembroke Pines, Fla.
•    Zeff Ross is the new executive vice president and CEO for Memorial Regional Hospital. He was most recently senior vice president and CEO for Memorial Regional Hospital.
•    Leah A. Carpenter, RN, was named administrator and CEO of Memorial Hospital West. She was formerly administrator and CEO of Memorial Hospital Miramar (Fla.).
•    Grisel Fernandez-Bravo, MBA, DNP, is the new administrator and CEO of Memorial Hospital Miramar. She was formerly CNO at Memorial Hospital West.

Fernandez, III, in a statement.
