Somerville, Mass.-based Mass General Brigham has appointed Kevin Giordano president of Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital and COO of Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Brigham and Women's Hospital Physicians Organization. He was also named senior vice president of operations for the health system.
Mr. Giordano has served in these roles on an interim basis since August and has held several leadership positions since joining Mass General Brigham in 2008.
He most recently served as senior vice president of clinical services — responsibilities he continued to manage during his interim leadership roles — and has also led integration efforts between Boston-based Brigham and Women's Hospital and Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital to improve patient care coordination.
"Kevin is a highly accomplished and widely respected leader," Ron Walls, MD, COO of Mass General Brigham said in an April 4 news release. "A measured and strategic executive with a steadfast commitment to our patients and our staff, he brings broad and deep experience in healthcare administration, strategy implementation and operations improvement."
