Jessica Melton is no longer serving as president of Johns Hopkins Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md.
She has been promoted to system vice president of strategic initiatives for Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Health System, effective Feb. 5, a spokesperson confirmed to Becker's.
In her new role, Ms. Melton will convene financial, operations and human resources leadership to identify and implement business systems that will optimize growth and performance, according to the spokesperson.
LeighAnn Sidone, DNP, RN, was named interim president of Suburban Hospital in addition to her current responsibilities as its vice president of nursing and chief nursing officer, as well as associate chief nursing executive for practice for Johns Hopkins Health System. It won't be Dr. Sidone's first time at the hospital's helm; she also served as interim president in 2020 and 2021, before Ms. Melton assumed the role.
