Edison, N.J.-based Hackensack Meridian Health named Ihor S. Sawczuk, MD, regional president of its Northern Market, Raymond F. Fredericks regional president of its Central Market and Kenneth N. Sable, MD, regional president of its Southern Market.
As president of the Northern Market, Dr. Sawczuk will oversee:
• Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center
• Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, N.J.
• Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, N.J.
• Pascack Valley Medical Center in Westwood, N.J.
Dr. Sawczuk previously served as president of Hackensack University Medical Center and the Joseph M. Sanzari Children's Hospital in Hackensack. He has served in several leadership roles at HUMC since he joined in 2001, including as executive vice president and CMO and vice president of academic affairs. A urologist, he is the 2018-19 president of the New York Medical & Surgical Society.
In his new role, Mr. Fredericks will oversee:
• JFK Medical Center in Edison, N.J.
• Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, N.J.
• Raritan Bay Medical Center in Old Bridge, N.J.
• Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy, N.J.
• Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J.
Mr. Fredericks most recently served as president and CEO of JFK Medical Center. He has worked at JFK Medical Center for 28 years, previously serving as the hospital's executive vice president and COO. He served on the New Jersey Hospital Association's board of trustees and on the NJHA Medicaid Task Force.
Dr. Sable will be responsible for:
• Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, N.J.
• Ocean Medical Center in Brick, N.J.
• Southern Ocean Medical Center in Manahawkin, N.J.
Dr. Sable previously served as the president of Jersey Shore University Medical Center and K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital in Neptune City, N.J. He came to Hackensack Meridian Health from Saint Peter's Healthcare System in New Brunswick, N.J., where he was executive vice president and COO.
