Goshen (Ind.) Health promoted CMO Larry Allen, MD, to chief physician executive.

Here are four things to know:

1. Dr. Allen served as CMO for the last five years.

2. A family practice physician, he completed his residency at the Cook County Hospital in Chicago.

3. He has participated in numerous medical mission trips.

4. In his new role, Dr. Allen will oversee population health strategies, including managed care and integrating patient-centered medical homes.
