Erik Olson named CEO of Renown Regional Medical Center: 3 things to know

Erik Olson has been named vice president and CEO of Reno, Nev.-based RenownRegionalMedicalCenter, part of Renown Health, according to KRXI Fox 11.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Olson.

1. Mr. Olson will take over the role from Greg Boyer.

2. Mr. Olson has 15 years of experience in healthcare. Before joining Renown, he served as regional vice president of operations at United Hospital in St. Paul, Minn.

3. He earned a master's degree in health administration from the University of Minnesota, which is located in Minneapolis-St. Paul, and served for eight years in the Army National Guard.
