Lesley Ogden, MD, COO of Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital in Lincoln City, Ore., was promoted to CEO, effective Jan. 1., according to a report from The News Guard.
Here are four things to know about Dr. Ogden.
1. She is a board-certified emergency physician.
2. Dr. Ogden joined Corvallis, Ore.-based Samaritan Health Services in 2006 and still works an occasional shift in urgent care or the hospital's emergency department in addition to her administrative responsibilities, according to the report.
3. She has served as COO of Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital since September 2013.
4. In her new role, Dr. Ogden succeeds Marty Cahill, who has served as Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital CEO while also serving as COO of Samaritan Lebanon (Ore.) Community Hospital since June 2013. Mr. Cahill has been named CEO of Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, also effective Jan. 1.
