Dominick Pernice was appointed COO of Rockville Centre, N.Y.-based Catholic Health's St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson, N.Y.
Mr. Pernice joins St. Charles from Catholic Health's Smithtown, N.Y.-based St. Catherine of Siena Hospital, where he served as COO, according to a Jan. 5 news release from the health system. He also previously served as assistant director of radiology, supervisor of magnetic resonance imaging and ultrasound, evening imaging supervisor and radiologic technologist at New Hyde Park, N.Y.-based Long Island Jewish Medical Center.
"We are very fortunate to have Dominick as part of St. Charles' senior leadership team," St. Charles President James O'Connor said in the release. "Prior to his role as St. Catherine's COO, he served for 13 years as the administrative director of imaging services and cardiac catheterization at St. Catherine of Siena and St. Charles hospitals. His expertise from having worked at both hospitals will be an asset as we look to further expand clinical services at St. Charles Hospital."
