Providence, R.I.-based Care New England has tapped Maureen Bischoff as the new vice president of operations at its Providence-based Women and Infants Hospital, effective March 4.
In her new role, Ms. Bischoff will provide support and operational leadership to pharmacy, security, diagnostic images, food services, engineering and environmental services. She will also help the hospital plan, develop and execute cost-effective initiatives to increase quality, enhance employee engagement and improve patient and family experiences.
Mr. Bischoff most recently served as area vice president of operations at Atlanta, Ga.-based Gentiva Hospice where she led operations and finance for New England multiple hospice branches, according to a Feb. 29 Care New England news release shared with Becker's.
She also served as chief operating officer for Providence-based HopeHealth from 2011 to 2022, during which she spearheaded $81 million in operations for home health and hospice services, according to the release.
