Rita Croom has been appointed senior vice president and chief experience officer of Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare, according to the health system.
Here are five things to know about Ms. Croom.
1. She has more than two decades of experience in various human resources, organizational development and performance improvement leadership roles.
2. She will begin her new role March 1.
3. In her new position, she is responsible for leading service excellence initiatives, related measurement improvements and organizational development initiatives including the Physician Leadership Academy and Leadership Development Institute, according to Capella.
4. Ms. Croom previously held a similar role with Union University's Center for Excellence in Health Care Practice in Jackson, Tenn., and Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America's TriStar division, where she supported leadership development, clinical orientation, employee engagement and the patient experience.
5. She earned a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership and master's degree in business administration from Union University. She is currently pursuing a doctorate degree in health services administration at The University of Alabama-Birmingham.
