Bear Valley Community Healthcare District in Big Bear Lake, Calif., has announced the resignation of Interim CEO Randy Simmons and CFO Wade Sturgeon, according to a KBHR report.
The leadership transition changes were approved by BVCHS and recommended by its new management advisory firm, Quorum Health Resources.
"We appreciate the contribution made to our hospital by Mr. Simmons and Mr. Sturgeon and we wish them well in their future endeavors," Donna Nicely, president of the hospital board, said in the report. "Our board was concerned about recent management decisions, and with Quorum here, we were able to respond quickly and bring in Quorum executives to make a seamless transition."
As of July 28, Quorum executive Barbara Brooks will be on-site providing oversight to operations, according to the report. Bill Donatelli, Quorum division vice president, will install a new interim CEO, David Faulkner, Aug. 3.
On Aug. 5, Mr. Donatelli plans to have options for the hospital board to select an interim CFO.
There is no current time frame for the searches for a permanent CEO and CFO to be completed.
