17 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Memphis, Tenn.-based Le Bonheur Children's Hospital President and CEO Meri Armour is retiring in 2019.

2. Wael Barsoum, MD, will become president and CEO of the entire Cleveland Clinic Florida region.

3. St. Anthony Summit Medical Center in Frisco, Colo., named Lee Boyles CEO, effective Nov. 26.

4. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health appointed Lloyd H. Dean as one of two CEO of the organization created by its merger.

5. Scottsbluff, Neb.-based Regional West Health Services appointed Allen Gamble interim CEO of Chadron (Neb.) Community Hospital, effective Dec. 10.

6. Health's Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge, Iowa, selected Leah Glasgo to serve as president and CEO, effective Jan. 28, 2019.

7. Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain, Mich., tapped Jeanne M. Goche to serve as interim CEO.

8. Paulding (Ohio) County Hospital named Ron Goedde, RN, CEO, effective Jan. 9, 2019.

9. San Diego-based Sharp HealthCare appointed Christopher Howard president and CEO, effective Jan. 31, 2019.

10. Englewood, Colo.-based Catholic Health Initiatives and San Francisco-based Dignity Health selected Kevin E. Lofton as one of two CEO of the organization created by its merger.

11. Mercy Health-Youngstown (Ohio) appointed John Luellen, MD, its new CEO.

12. Madelia (Minn.) Community Hospital and Clinic selected Jeff Mengenhausen to serve as administrator and CEO.

13. David Scarpino, president and CEO of Kingston, N.Y.-based HealthAlliance of the Hudson Valley, will retire Dec. 31.

14. Saline Health System in Benton, Ark., named Michael Stewart CEO, effective Nov. 30.

15. Johnson City, Tenn.-based Ballad Health selected Lindy White to serve as CEO of Holston Valley Medical Center and Indian Path Community Hospital, both in Kingsport, Tenn.

16. UnityPoint Health's Finley Hospital in Dubuque, Iowa, named Chad Wolbers president and CEO, effective Jan. 21, 2019.

17. Jamestown, N.Y.-based UPMC Chautauqua President and CEO Betsy Wright is retiring Dec. 31, ending a 35-year career in healthcare.
