1. Chapel Hill, N.C.-based University of North Carolina System appointed A. Wesley Burks, MD, CEO of UNC Health Care, dean of the UNC School of Medicine and vice chancellor for medical affairs at UNC-Chapel Hill.
2. Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System appointed Brian Charlier president and CEO of HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Mary's Hospital Medical Center, both in Green Bay, Wis.
3. Kingwood (Texas) Medical Center, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare, tapped John Corbeil to serve as CEO, effective Jan. 14, 2019.
4. Jamestown (N.D.) Regional Medical Center appointed Michael Delfs CEO, effective March 1.
5. Southern Coos Hospital & Health Center in Bandon, Ore., selected Alan Dow to serve as interim CEO.
6. Tim Ford, CEO of Springfield (Vt.) Medical Care Systems, resigned from his role Dec. 12.
7. Coleman Foss, CEO of Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland (Tenn.), resigned for a new job opportunity, effective Jan. 2, 2019.
8. Paul Janke, president and CEO of Coos Bay, Ore.-based Bay Area Hospital, is retiring in early January 2019, ending a 10-year tenure.
9. Knoxville, Tenn.-based Tennova Healthcare selected Matthew Littlejohn to serve as CEO for Newport (Tenn.) Medical Center, effective Jan. 2, 2019.
10. Dulles, Va.-based StoneSprings Hospital has named Matt Mathias CEO, effective Jan. 1.
11. Newark, N.J.-based University Hospital named Judith Persichilli, BSN, RN, acting president and CEO Dec. 13.
12. Joseph P. Ross, president and CEO of Hagerstown, Md.-based Meritus Health, retired, effective immediately.
13. HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield, Ill., named Jim Timpe president and CEO, effective Dec. 11.
14. Sheri Trahern, president and CEO of Centura Health's St. Thomas More Hospital in Cañon City, Colo., is leaving the role, effective in mid-January 2019.
15. Gino Santorio has been appointed president and CEO of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.-based Broward Health after being unanimously approved by the North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners.
16. Gerald Worrick, president and CEO of Sturgeon Bay, Wis.-based Door County Medical Center plans to retire Jan. 5.
