Christopher M. Dadlez, FACHE, has served as president and CEO of Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, Conn., since October 2004. 
Mr. Dadlez is known for bringing success to the hospitals he leads. Since he has been at the helm at Saint Francis, the hospital has been recognized by Solucient, HealthGrades, CareScience and Leapfrog for quality and patient safety excellence. Prior to joining Saint Francis, Mr. Dadlez served as president and CEO of Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. While he led there, the hospital achieved Solucient Top 100 Hospital status and was named a top 50 hospital for cardiovascular services by U.S. News & World Report.
Even though he has brought success to the hospitals he has led, Mr. Dadlez says he is most proud of another accomplishment. "I'm most proud of our team's development and implementation of a strategic plan that effectively anticipates impending healthcare reforms," he says. "We are well on our way to building an infrastructure that will be effective for true population management." Saint Francis has begun aligning with physicians and insurers to move into the future of healthcare. "We are deeply optimistic about the opportunities ahead," Mr. Dadlez says.
In addition to his duties at Saint Francis, Mr. Dadlez holds leadership positions in the American Hospital Association and is a delegate on its district one regional policy board. Additionally, Mr. Dadlez serves on the executive committee and board of the Alliance of Independent Academic Medical Centers and is a member of the Association of American Medical Colleges.
