Healthcare executives launch care company to combat rural health disparities

Brian Mathis and Kari Severson Snaza are launching Oasis Health Partners, a value-based primary care company.

The company will focus on providing primary care to older adults in rural areas, according to a Jan. 10 news release from Oasis Health. It will start by serving smaller communities in South Carolina then expand into other communities nationwide.

Mr. Mathis, co-founder and CEO of Oasis Health, previously served as chief strategy officer at Boston-based Sevita, a home and community-based healthcare, and Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Optum Care, a physician organization.

Ms. Snaza, co-founder and president of Oasis Health, previously served as chief strategy officer for the Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic following 15 years at UnitedHealth Group.
