The Oregon Association of Hospitals and Health Systems has updated price information on OregonHospitalGuide.org, a website that offers cost estimates on common procedures.
The association said the new data, based on state reporting, displays the costs of the most common inpatient and outpatient procedures at Oregon hospitals and allows patients to compare pricing among facilities.
"Hospitals are dedicated to the concept that every Oregonian, whether insured, uninsured or out of network should be empowered with the financial information they need to make better healthcare decisions for themselves and their families," said Andy Davidson, the association's president and CEO. "We hope our communities find value in the new data we have posted this year."
On the website, patients can search hospitals by name. For each hospital, users can click on "procedure costs" to access the new data.
