Aprima Medical Software, a provider of EHR, practice management and revenue cycle management solutions for medical practices, has introduced a new, integrated cloud-based faxing solution from Kno2, a healthcare workflow optimization company.
The Kno2 cloud fax solution is designed to end paper faxing. Specifically, it aims to help providers take full advantage of digital documentation transmission without having to use more manual, paper-based workflows when collaborating with other providers, according to a news release.
At present, providers with more digital capabilities cannot send documents to network partners until first verifying their partners' digital exchange capabilities, the news release states.
But now, Aprima EHR customers won't need to go through that verification process. Instead, Kno2's proprietary technology will automatically forward documents in the proper format, the news release states, and providers that depend on paper faxing will have the opportunity to sign up for a Kno2 account.
