Hospitalist Salaries Have Grown by More Than 8% From 2010

Hospitalist salaries rose roughly 2.6 percent on average from 2009 to 2010, and a recent compensation survey showed that hospitalist salaries grew again by an average of more than 8 percent from 2010 to 2011, according to a Today's Hospitalist news release.

The Today's Hospitalist survey showed that adult hospitalists reported a mean income of more than $227,000 in 2011, a 6 percent gain over 2010, according to the release. Pediatric hospitalists averaged $190,000 in 2011, a 12 percent increase.
