Azmi Atiya, MD, was named medical director of cardiac surgery at Los Angeles-based Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, part of the Smidt Heart Institute.
Dr. Atiya, a cardiothoracic surgeon, has a special interest in advances in minimally invasive mitral and aortic valve surgery, robotic thoracic surgery and endovascular aneurysm repairs, according to a Dec. 29 Cedars-Sinai release.
