Dallas-based Steward Health Care is building a replacement hospital for Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas, Healthcare Design reported Jan. 25.
The $254 million project includes a 250,000-square-foot hospital with 123 beds — with room to increase to 291 — and a 160,000-square-foot medical office building, according to the report.
Orthopedics, cardiovascular, neurology and maternity care, among other services, will be provided at the hospital.
Steward, which has 35 hospitals in nine states, expects to complete the project in December 2025.
