MUSC to build medical facility on South Carolina island

Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina is planning to build a new emergency and primary care facility on Seabrook Island, S.C.

The facility would feature a freestanding emergency room, lab services and a helipad. As of right now, half of the funding for the facility has come from island residents.

MUSC aims for the project to be completed by the end of 2023.
