8 recent accountable care, shared savings agreements

The following list includes recently announced, new or expanded accountable care organizations and collaborative care agreements, beginning with the most recent.

1. Cigna, Providence-Swedish Health Alliance ACO partner for collaborative care
Cigna and Western Washington-based Providence-Swedish Health Alliance ACO announced a new collaborative care initiative to improve care coordination, health outcomes, affordability, patient experience and access to care for more than 7,100 Cigna members.

2. University Hospitals, Anthem to launch 2nd ACO collaboration
Cleveland-based University Hospitals and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield announced the launch of an ACO for Medicare Advantage members in Northeast Ohio.

3. Saint Francis Healthcare to launch Delaware ACO
Saint Francis Healthcare (Wilmington, Del.) is joining the Medical Society of Delware's subsidary, MedNet, to form the Delaware Care Collaboration, a new ACO.

4. Trenton Health Team certified as a Medicaid ACO
Trenton (N.J.) Health Team was certified by the New Jersey Department of Human Services as one of the first Medicaid ACOs in the state.

5. Aetna, University of Chicago Medicine create oncology medical home
Aetna and the University of Chicago Medicine announced a collaboration to form an oncology medical home to improve cancer patients' care experiences.

6. UnitedHealthcare, Presbyterian Healthcare to launch ACO
Albuquerque, N.M.-based Presbyterian Healthcare Services joined 250 other organizations in launching an ACO with UnitedHealthcare this year.

7. Texas Health Resources to join Premier Patient Health Care's ACO
Arlington-based Texas Health Resources announced its wholly-owned and joint-venture hospitals will become hospital-participants in a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO.

8. Methodist Health System ACO joins Catalyst Health Network
Plano, Texas-based Catalyst Health Network and Dallas-based Methodist Patient-Centered ACO announced MPCACO will join Catalyst's affiliated network.
