NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. NewYork-Presbyterian's Senior Executive Sustainability Committee has strategic oversight of its sustainability program, NYPgreen. NYPgreen's initiatives run the gamut of sustainability programs and policies, including participating in former Mayor Michael Bloomberg's Hospital Challenge, aiming to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 30 percent by 2018. In 2014 and 2015, the hospital won an Energy Star Partner of the Year: Sustained Excellence award, and two NYP hospitals — Columbia University Medical Center and Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital and The Allen Hospital — received Greenhealth Partner for Change Awards from Practice Greenhealth this year.
