Michael W. Murphy. President and CEO of Sharp HealthCare (San Diego). With more than 30 years of healthcare experience, Mr. Murphy oversees more than 16,000 employees, 2,600 affiliated physicians and four acute care hospitals in his role as president and CEO of Sharp. He has led the nonprofit system since June 1996, helping lead a transformation within the system to improve the healthcare experience for employees, physicians and physicians, what the system calls The Sharp Experience. Mr. Murphy, a certified public accountant, is a member of several local organizations and is also on the board of directors of the State of California Chamber of Commerce.
