Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The cardiac team at CHOP includes more than 125 pediatric cardiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, critical care intensivists, pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants. The hospital features more than 20 programs and services, including a fetal heart program and the Philadelphia Adult Congenital Heart Center, which pulls expertise from the University of Pennsylvania Health System. CHOP's Cardiac Center also features the Evelyn and Daniel M. Tabas Cardiac Intensive Care Unit, one of the largest ICUs in the world dedicated to treating children with congenital heart disease. In 2015, U.S. News & World Report ranked CHOP No. 4 in the country among children's hospitals for cardiology and heart surgery.
