North Shore University Hospital (Manhasset, N.Y.). North Shore University Hospital is part of North Shore-LIJ Health System, which is home to the Cushing Neuroscience Institute. The CNI includes several subspecialty centers, including some focused on brain aneurysms, epilepsy and spine care. The hospital is a Blue Distinction Center for Spine Surgery. Additionally, it has received the Neurosurgery Excellence Award from Healthgrades for the last three years, and has also earned Healthgrades' 100 Best Hospital for Stroke Care Award each year since 2014. U.S. News & World Report named it as high-performing in neurology and neurosurgery for 2015-16.
