Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center (Houston). Houston is a town of many hospitals, but the sizable Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center continues to make a name for itself.
Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center is located in the 33-story Memorial Hermann Tower, which also includes Women's Memorial Hermann and Children's Memorial Hermann. The hospital was named one of the top 100 hospitals in the country by Truven Health Analytics in 2014 and a Most Wired Hospital by the American Hospital Association in 2013. The hospital also earned awards from Healthgrades in 2014 for excellence in stroke care and general surgery, in addition to its 2013 recognition for outstanding patient experience and patient safety.
Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center contains several institutes and centers, including a sports medicine institute, cancer center, women's center, sleep center and heart and vascular institute. More recently, the hospital opened a comprehensive digestive health center — the first of its kind in west Houston — to provide patients with care for a range of digestive health issues, along with nutrition counseling and support groups.
