Indianapolis-based St. Vincent Health will lay off employees across its 22-hospital system before July 1, according to an Indianapolis Business Journal report.
The system is making the cost-cutting measure due to cuts in Medicare reimbursement and a lower volume of patient procedures, according to the report.
St. Vincent did not reveal how many employees will be laid off as part of the cuts. The system employs roughly 18,000 people.
