Medline to open new distribution center in Fla.

Mundelein, Ill.-based Medline will build a new distribution center in Auburndale, Fla.

The company, who purchased 51 acres of land in the area, will break ground on the 830,000-square-foot facility this fall.

Medline chose Auburndale to host the new facility due to the city's central location and accessibility to local customers.

The distribution center, designed with a variety of sustainable features, will be built with the goal of earning Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification.

The facility is expected to bring 100 new jobs to the area.
