Northfield, Ill.-based Medline will invest $20 million to expand its flush manufacturing plants in Wisconsin and New Jersey.
The expansion will help broaden the company's portfolio of SwabFlush products to reflect an increasing amount of demand in the flush syringe market.
SwabFlush is an IV catheter flush syringe that contains a disinfection cap for needleless IV connectors.
"Infection prevention is a key focus for health systems across the care continuum and it is crucial that Medline is able to provide effective solutions that enhance their initiatives," said Dante Tisci, president of Medline's Dynacor division, in a news release. "By enhancing and expanding our SwabFlush product line, Medline can better meet our customers' demands for reducing the rate of infection and containing costs."
