Medline recalls convenience kits

After the FDA handed down a sterility warning to Nurse Assist in relation to its saline and sterile water products in November, Medline recalled an unspecified number of convenience kits.

Medline- and Centurion-branded convenience kits containing Nurse Assist 0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation USP and Sterile Water for Irrigation USP were recalled Nov. 15, Medline said April 5.

The company has also pulled procedure kits, trays and packs containing Nurse Assist products. Cardinal Health, ROi CPS and about 10 other companies have implemented recalls amid the sterility concern.

In an April 5 news release, Medline said it has received one report of an adverse event associated with the Nurse Assist recall.
