FedEx will offer customers the opportunity to pickup or drop off packages at almost 8,000 Walgreens locations nationwide.
Here are three things to know.
- The FedEx Onsite program will allow customers to drop off pre-packaged, pre-labeled shipments at Walgreens stores and pick up shipments delivered to the store for safe keeping.
- FedEx developed the program after internal research showed customers rank pharmacies as a preferred location for accessing their shipments, according to the company's executive vice president, chief marketing and communications officer, Raj Subramaniam.
- The two companies will roll out the program in a small scale this spring, before expanding to more than 8,000 Walgreens across the U.S. by fall 2018, according to the report.
