A natural gas leak on Nov. 7 in Tulsa, Okla., backed up traffic and caused air quality concerns at Saint Francis Hospital, located a stone's throw from the source of the leak, according to a local KJRH-TV report.
The leak occurred when city crews accidentally hit a gas line while trying to dig up a water line, police told KJRH-TV reporters. They also noted the gas was not as combustible as usual because the hole was filled with water.
Following the incident with the gas line, gas could be seen drifting toward Saint Francis Hospital so firefighters had to enter the facility to monitor the air quality, according to the report. However, there was no hospital evacuation and fire officials reported no injuries.
Becker's reached out to Saint Francis Hospital officials, but they declined to comment.
