Hospital-Acquired Conditions Don't Lower Orthopedic Patients' Satisfaction

Orthopedic surgery patients who developed a hospital-acquired condition did not give lower HCAHPS scores than orthopedic surgery patients who did not develop an HAC, according to a study in the Journal for Healthcare Quality.

Researchers examined HCAHPS scores in a two-year period for orthopedic surgery patients at a private, university-affiliated specialty center.
