From March 20-22, the American Medical Association and the Medical Group Management Association will host the Collaborate in Practice Conference in Colorado Spring, Colo. The inaugural conference will focus on strengthening administrative and physician partnerships to improve patient care.
"Today's busy medical practice must effectively manage teams of people, budgets, government mandates and regulations to efficiently deliver care and thrive in the new world of healthcare," James Madara, MD, AMA executive vice president and CEO, said in a statement. "The AMA stands ready with the MGMA to help physicians and practice managers leverage the skills and strategies to lead transformative practice changes in clinical workflow, teamwork and communication that improve efficiency in a medical practice and enhance patient care."
Attendees will hear presentations from experts on a variety of topics, including the importance of incorporating IT innovations in healthcare and the latest on healthcare policy legislation. Registration is open through March 18.
