4 Delaware hospitals with top nurse-patient communication scores

The following hospitals in Delaware received top marks on patients' HCAHPS surveys for nurse communication.

At least 81 percent of patients surveyed at these four hospitals responded that nurses always communicated well. In Delaware, the average is 81 percent, which sits above the national average of 80 percent.

The figures are from CMS' Hospital Compare website and represent HCAHPS scores collected from October 2015 through September 2016, the most recent data available.

Note: Hospitals with fewer than 100 completed surveys were excluded from this list.

1. Bayhealth–Kent General Hospital (Dover) — 83 percent

2. Nanticoke Memorial Hospital (Seaford) — 82 percent

3. Beebe Medical Center (Lewes) — 82 percent

4. Bayhealth–Millford Memorial Hospital — 81 percent
