When injured, almost everyone wants to receive care at a hospital — even deer.
After running into a car Oct. 26, a severely injured deer meandered into Rochester, N.Y.-based StrongMemorialHospital, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.
"It wandered toward the hospital and through the automatic doors of the emergency department," said Chris DiFrancesco, a University of Rochester (N.Y.) Medical Center spokesman.
The deer didn't enter a patient area. Instead, two Monroe County sheriff's deputies put the deer on a gurney and took it out of the hospital. Soon after, they called animal control and the deer was euthanized.
Before entering the hospital, the deer had run into a young woman's car. The driver was not hurt.
