A patient shot a physician Tuesday at a hospital in the Steglitz neighborhood in southwest Berlin, according to Reuters.
Berlin police spokesman Winfrid Wenzel told Reuters the patient pulled out a gun during a consultation and fired several shots at the physician. After shooting the physician, the patient shot himself. The physician and the shooter died from their injuries.
The attack occurred in the jaw surgery unit of an outpatient clinic at the Benjamin Franklin campus of Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, a large teaching hospital.
No details about the shooter's identity or motive have been released.
