25 largest for-profit hospitals in America | 2015

Here are the 25 largest for-profit hospitals in the United States, listed by number of beds.

Note: This list is based on data from hospitals' most recent cost reports, accessed through the American Hospital Directory. Data was accessed July 15. The hospital bed counts reported include all medical/surgical and special care beds in children's, critical access and short-term acute care facilities under proprietary control, as reported to CMS by the hospitals in their most recent cost reports.

In some cases, figures may include bed counts from other facilities that share a provider number with the main hospital. Those facilities are identified in footnotes. The hospital rankings total 25, although the list includes ties, which means there are more than 25 hospitals listed.
