These executives are leading their organizations through healthcare's technology revolution, overseeing EHR installations, new patient portals and telemedicine advancements while working to keep data secure from breaches. They have received various awards and maintain involvement in organizations such as the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society and the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives.
The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected leaders for this list based on editorial research and discretion, including prominent CIOs and those who head up IT for some of the nation's largest and most respected hospitals and health systems. Nominations were also considered.
