A 25-year-old man was arrested after authorities say he set a fire Friday morning in New Iberia, La.-based Iberia Medical Center's intensive care unit waiting room, according to KATC.
When interviewed by investigators, Ruddy Romero admitted lighting a blanket on fire in the ICU's waiting room and leaving it on fire when he left the hospital. Louisiana fire marshal investigators say the fire was extinguished Friday around 1:30 a.m. after the hospital's sprinkler system was activated.
Mr. Romero was arrested and charged with aggravated arson.
