8 healthcare organizations adding jobs

The following healthcare organizations shared plans to add jobs since July 17, starting with the most recent.

1. Fresenius Kidney Care clinic in Ohio to create about 8 jobs
Fresenius Kidney Care plans to build a clinic in Belpre, Ohio, a move expected to create about eight jobs.

2. Modernizing Medicine expands in Florida, expects to create 800+ jobs
Boca Raton, Fla.-based Modernizing Medicine plans to add 838 jobs by 2022 through the expansion of its operations in Boca Raton.

3. Foxconn to build $10B tech plant in Wisconsin: 4 things to know
Taiwan-based Foxconn Technology Group, the electronics supplier for Apple known formally as Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., plans to build a $10 billion plant in Wisconsin. The plant is initially expected to create 3,000 jobs and eventually expand to up to 13,000 jobs.

4. Humana to hire 500 seasonal employees during Medicare Advantage enrollment
Louisville, Ky.-based Humana plans to hire roughly 500 seasonal workers during its 2018 Medicare Advantage enrollment.

5. Duke LifePoint hospital completes behavioral health expansion
Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde, N.C., part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint Healthcare, expanded its behavioral health unit. With the expansion, the hospital plans to immediately add two more behavioral health physicians and 12 full-time support jobs.

6. Pennsylvania medical call center to relocate
Mobile, Ala.-based TruBridge, a subsidiary of CPSI, is moving its medical call center location from Schuylkill Mall in Frackville, Pa., to Pottsville, Pa. TruBridge estimated 80 people could eventually work at the Pottsville location.

7. Construction commences on federally qualified health center in Pennsylvania
Broomall, Pa.-based Prime Health Network revealed a $14 million Pennsylvania federally qualified health center in Derry Township is under construction. The project is expected to create approximately 46 jobs.

8. Merck to build tech hub in Texas
Merck Sharp & Dohme Corp., a subsidiary of Merck & Co., will develop a technology innovation center in Austin, Texas. At least 600 jobs will be created to build and equip the center.
