Baltimore-based University of Maryland Medical Center's board of directors approved entering into an affiliation agreement with Dimensions Health, a Maryland system serving residents of Prince George's County.
UMMC and Dimensions will now work toward finalizing the details of the transaction, including financial terms. Under the transaction, UMMC would become the sole corporate member of Dimensions Health.
UMMC and Dimensions aim to complete the deal, which is subject to regulatory approval, by the end of this year.
