Mt. Vernon, Wash.-based Skagit Regional Health has been given the go-ahead to lease and operate Arlington, Wash.-based Cascade Valley Hospital and Clinics, which includes a 48-bed hospital as well as five clinics and a free-standing surgery center, according to the Puget Sound Business Journal.
The state approved a certificate of need, allowing Skagit's 30-year lease of CVHC to begin June 1.
"When you look at our collective system — we'll have 16 clinics combined between us — it forms a nice geographic net over the region of Skagit and north Snohomish [counties]," Skagit Regional Health CEO Gregg Davidson told the Puget Sound Business Journal.
