Longview, Texas-based Good Shepherd Health System, which has been struggling to achieve financial stability, is now seeking an affiliation partner, according to a Longview New-Journal report.
Good Shepherd Health System President and CEO Steve Altmiller told hospital staff in a message Wednesday morning that the move would provide many benefits to the system, including the resources available in a larger health system.
Due to its financial troubles, Good Shepherd has been forced to close rural clinics, cut staff and sell real estate, according to the report.
No information has been provided regarding potential buyers of the system.
